I have a problem, I'm not familiar with the game enough to know what to do and where to go at this point. I'm still early in ch2 and I wish to do if not all, them most side quest, including keep tasks.

Not sure where you're lost. Just do the side quests, they're worth it. I usually skip only a very few.

 

The general rule is that if an encounter is impossible, just come back to it later. Simple. Leave Siege of Crägholdt for like level 11+ or so, maybe even 12, unless you're a masochist.

 

Btw, what the heck is that in your bottom left corner? Is that a big headed character?
