Been playing Pillars of Eternity for a while and was wondering if anyone has tried the following:

 

A Tidefall Barbarian to inflict wounding and a Ranger with a Stag companion with Predator Sense plus Stag carnage?

 

A Stag team in the making.

 

Would be interested to know your thoughts about this team type build?

I have a stag ranger and think for overall dps its far greater than other animal types. Your Tidefall barb seems like a great synergy for inflicting damage over time which the animal companion needs in order to maximize it's damage modifiers.

Thanks, will give it a try. Was thinking when activating the stag carnage and combusting wounds it will do some serious damage.

I actually never did check if the Carnage of the stag works with Predator's Sense or if only the initial attack roll gets the bonus.
