The description in character generator doesn't specify melee, but if you check the description in the character sheet, it does specify melee weapon crits only.

(Same goes for Mage Slayer unless they changed it.)

Sorry for the confusion, it warrants looking at the Character Creation and making sure it mentions melee only so Ill get a bug in if it does not. Thanks a ton for your post.
