Multiclassing Bug

Featured Replies

First build with the new beta update I ran into this issue. So I multiclassed as a Ghost Heart/Soul Blade. Picked the ranger sub first and then the cipher sub second. After creation I started the level up process and discovered that any Ranger ability I tried to select for that level woukd simply eat the point but not unlock the ability. The Cipher side worked correctly it was only with the ranger tree that it would spend my ability point but not actually unlock the ability once I completed that level up.

I also have an issue with Ghost Hearts but it is only the Companion passives (Faithful, Vicious, etc.) that will not stick. I can choose other ranger abilities just fine. It seems to only be a Ghost Heart problem. I have tested this with single class and multiclass. With no subclass or the other subclasses I can choose any or all of the Companion passives and they work fine.

Another more minor issue: when I made a Paladin/Ranger (Shepherd), although I chose Paladin as the 1st class, Ranger would be first during Ability selection instead of Paladin. Also, although at the end of Character creation my class would read as Paladin first and Ranger below that, after loading into the game proper, under the Character Sheet, it would read as Ranger on top, with Paladin below that. I note it as I haven't seen that before with other multiclass characters I've made.

Ok, my mistake. I went back to make sure and there are other abilities that won't stick besides the Companion passives. Takedown will not work for Ghost Heart, nor will Protective Companion and Predator's Sense. Basically any ability with a paw print plus Takedown. I've only found this to be the case with the Ghost Heart, whether single class or multiclass.

Hey DigitalCrack, Chariot7!

Thanks for the info! I've got the bug logged for the devs to investigate, as it's weird its just the Ghostheart subclass. Thanks a ton for the great info!

You the best,

-Caleb
