when the main char suffers from temporary effects like "turned to stone" or "stunned" etc Concelhauts skull will not follow the main char after the fight ends. You have to reequip the skull so that he is flying after you again. You have to do this after almost

every fight which is really annoying.

It's a bit annoying - but why do you bother? His summon will work if the skull's near you or not. So it's function is not impaired.
I wouldn't waste that much time and efford for a cosmetical thing (skull actually following).
