Question

My game's sound stopped completely. I don't seem to have done anything extraordinary for this to happen. No sound effects, no music; messing with iPad's or the game's volumes doesn't do anything.

Other apps' sound is fine.

Woooow, this is totally messed up (and super embarrassing...)

Heh.  It happens to everyone... much like how I read the post where you said you tried reinstalling the game... and then immediately recommended you try reinstalling the game.

Somewhere below one of my posts is a "Mark Solved" button.  Feel free to close out the thread and maybe nobody will pay attention to our silliness.   :p

Alright alright, you got your payback mr/ms/mrs =P (I'm joking ofc)

Thx for all the help, didn't know about the mark solved button. already pressed ^^

thx again!

Which model iPad do you have?  There is a specific, and apparently unresolved, bug regarding audio and iPad 4 and the iPhone 5/5c.

Did it happened after a recent upgrade?  Can you go to the settings menu and move the sliders up and down a little bit to try and un-stick the audio settings?

iPad 2.

It was working fine after the last update, it apparently stopped working out of nowhere.

I did move the sliders up and down and nothing happens. I also restarted the iPad, removed the app and downloaded it again. Nothing works.

Curious.  I also have an iPad 2 (64GB, iOS 9.3.5) running the latest Pathfinder (1.1.6.4.2). (sorry, it looks like it is actually an iPad 3)

Have you tried uninstall/reinstall yet?  Assuming everything has been synced up to the cloud, it is usually the next step in the troubleshooting process.

Derp.  Just assume that whatever time zone I'm in, it's too early in the morning.  :p

Last thing to check is the mute switch on the iPad.  It is largely up to an individual app to determine how it interprets the physical mute on/off switch.

Pathfinder (like most Unity-built apps) uses it to globally turn audio on/off.  Other apps often ignore the switch setting and just use the system volume.

I just tested to double-check, and it is entirely possible to use the switch to mute all sounds in Pathfinder, but still hear audio in other games/apps without changing the position of the switch.

The switch was indeed turned off >.<

I just assumed that wasn't the case since sound was ok in other apps (as it should be btw). Thanks for helping out this dummy
