WildStrike Belt doesn't seem to be doing anything

When my druid spirit shifts I don't see any burn damage coming from the belt. I have the latest version of the game. Is this a known bug? in case it matters I haven't taken any wildstrike ability, I was hoping to save an ability and just use the belt

Then I guess it only works when you pick Wildstrike - because with my druid (who has Wildstrike + Greater Wildstrike) it works just fine.
