Always wondered wtf is with the "Binding Rope" hit self?

Eh? Other characters that hit you get stuck. It's not even possible to hit yourself in melee in PoE.

Derp. Oh ok.  

 

Edit: there's been a few times where after combat has ended Durance was continuously shooting himself with his crossbow. It left me laughing, figured he was punishing himself.

Luckily for Durance, the Binding Rope only works with melee hits. But it would have been realistic to get stuck when you shoot yourself in the foot.
