Duque Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 Took a break from the game around July and came back recently. The first thing I noticed is the lack of music in the game. All the effects sounds are ok. Tried with the music slider in settings and reinstalling the game as well but didn't work. Maybe it's a bug with IOS10 (iPad 4)? Any help is appreciated.

Consult with Handelabra Games on this, because it affected their game, as well, and they fixed it with an update. It's an issue in Unity.
0 kurtalb1 Posted January 24, 2017 Posted January 24, 2017 I am also experiencing this on my iPad 4 with the latest iOS and most recent Pathfinder Adventures update.
0 Duque Posted January 29, 2017 Author Posted January 29, 2017 Other people having this bug as well: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/89823-music-not-working/ They are using IOS10 and IPad 4 as well. Hopefully Obsidian can squash this bug without problems because the music is very good.
0 Stalton Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 For what it's worth, on my Galaxy s7 I was playing just fine when I received a phone call. When the call ended, there was no music. A quick restart fixed it right up however.

It's an issue in Unity. There appears to be a specific issue with Unity and devices running 32-bit iOS 10 (A6 processor). [i.e. iPad 4, iPhone 5/5c] [iOS] AUDIO WITH 'STREAMING' LOAD TYPE DOES NOT PLAY ON SOME DEVICES RUNNING IOS 10 I don't think there is a workaround, but Unity reportedly fixed the problem in 5.4.3.p1. As an FYI for the devs, Happy Hobgoblin (developers of Nyheim) just released an update that fixed their bug of no SFX or music due to the Unity engine. They weren't aware of this issue and what was causing it until I brought it to their attention. 2
0 Duque Posted March 4, 2017 Author Posted March 4, 2017 Good find. Shouldn't this bug be mentioned in Known Issues topic then? I bet it's important for iPad 4 users. Hopefully is fixed soon. 1

Hopefully is fixed soon. Probably. I think the most recent Pathfinder apps were built with Unity 5.4.3f1. Any patch release or major release newer should have the audio fix. If you're wondering "Well, why haven't the devs upgraded their Unity?" the answer is mostly: "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." Unity generally recommends caution when updating your setup because the little changes here and there might bug out an app and require some testing to verify things are still ok. But unfortunately is kinda "broken" for iPad 4 users, some at least. It's not a game-breaking bug that's true but is one that, at least for me, prevents me to spend more money in the game. Surely I'm a nobody in the eyes of the devs but if this problem is affecting more people (with the root of the bug being well known apparently) and they still do nothing after all this time... I think is very detrimental and, frankly, unprofessional. I still have hope tough because I love this game. 1

I'm not downplaying the existence of the audio bug or anything. I just wanted to point out that: - It may have been around for a while because you don't casually upgrade your development environment on a shipping project - Up until recently, they may not have even been aware what the bug was, and how it may have been related to Unity - I'm still just making a boatload of assumptions, but the bug seems to fit the theory for A6 devices running iOS 10 playing games built with certain versions of Unity Anyway, if they're looking into it, StormbringerGT is probably in the process of beating the game on Legendary with every character and whatever other thankless QA tasks may be required of an IDE upgrade. Stand by, I'm sure it will be fixed eventually.

Took a break from the game around July and came back recently. The first thing I noticed is the lack of music in the game. All the effects sounds are ok. Tried with the music slider in settings and reinstalling the game as well but didn't work.
Maybe it's a bug with IOS10 (iPad 4)?
Any help is appreciated.
