So we have days (obvious) and turns. Can anyone explain what a turn is or how long it takes? I remember there being a loading screen tip about it, but I don't remember what it is and the wiki is (of course) non informative about it.

A turn ends when you complete a part of a quest (when you get XP for advancing in a quest). It's not related to game time or real time. That's why stronghold adventures end when you advance in a quest.
