I'm going to be offline for a 20 hour plane flight and look forward to playing this game nonstop. Will my progress during that time be synced when I return online? Is the only drawback that I don't get any gold?

Yes are you correct on all fronts! Your saves are stored locally on your device and when you connect online, it will sync with the cloud.

Configure browser push notifications
Chrome (Android)
  1. Tap the lock icon next to the address bar.
  2. Tap Permissions → Notifications.
  3. Adjust your preference.
Chrome (Desktop)
  1. Click the padlock icon in the address bar.
  2. Select Site settings.
  3. Find Notifications and adjust your preference.
