I've never played the physical version before, but I'm a little confused by whether this game has a concept of an 'inventory' in which you store your excess cards.  At first I thought that you can only store cards on your characters, so if you get 2 copies of Cure, for example, you either equip them on your characters or lose them forever.  I believed this because most of the time, my character card customization screen looks like this:

However, I noticed recently that the very first time that I open the card customization screen in quest or adventure mode (bottom-right button) after starting the app, I have access to what looks like a collection of every spare card I've ever collected like this:

Running any encounter gets me to a point where I can only ever see the first image if I try to customize my cards.

Which one of these is intended?

If it helps, I'm playing on the most recent iOS on an ipad air 2

When you first create a party you can swap out cards for any basic cards you like, I believe that's what you are seeing in the second screenshot.

After you begin adventuring you only have the cards you acquired during the scenario available to select to keep in decks.

So I think what you're describing is intended. But yeah it's not explained real well in the game.

Cool!  Thanks for answering my question.  I guess the only way to hold on to stuff that you might want to use later/for other characters is by putting them in your deck then.
