I encountered the Collapsed Ceiling and failed the check. The card says if the check is failed then it stays on top and the following characters encounter it as their first move.

 

I'm unable to encounter it. So since I failed it the first time it just stays there but since none of the characters are able to encounter it, I can't progress. So I just have to forfeit.

 

I can play cards like Cure and I can click on the Collapsed a Ceiling to read what the card says but I can't do anything else besides "end turn"

You have to drag it down to encounter it instead of just tapping the card to encounter for a normal exploration. (This is a known issue)

Oh ok. Didn't check to see if it was a known issue. I ended up beating the scenario without encountering the collapsed ceiling again so I'll keep that in mind if I run across it again

I had exactly the same issue And yes, you have to manually drag it to the center play area for it to 'trigger'. I hope they fix that, since having/needing two different ways to initiate an explore isn't very good.
