Sakaeru Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 Am I able to level up my story mode people by playing quest mode? I was hoping to have one set of characters that I use for both. When I created my party for quest mode from the "Experienced" characters, it did have my same party members - but they didn't have the items I had accumulated befor the patch. Also, I get experience points during quest mode, but not during story mode. Is this normal?
Hannibal_PJV Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 Yes. They Are allmost completely separated game modes. Story mode in the digital conversion of the original tabletop game. In this mode you advance premade adventure in the sets of five scenarios. The quest mode is more like a regular rpg, where characters collect experience and gain levels and so on. They Are not compatible in any way even though They use same cards. Think that you have two games in the price of one! ;-)
Brainwave Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 The difference is that in story mode (the original card game mode) you gain additional character upgrades after completing certain adventures, they do it that way instead of giving you xp. Quest mode appears to be just randomized adventures out of whatever locations, villains and henchmen you have unlocked (possibly scaled to level somehow) so they use so instead to decide when to grant the same rewards you would have gotten in story mode after certain adventures. The two modes aren't really compatible since one uses xp and the other does not.
