I've progressed a little bit into the White March 2 expansion. I've just gone up the lift in the tower during the quest where you repair the cannons and this is what I see: http://i.imgur.com/gceXrwt.png. The game is literally unplayable like this. The purple/pink squares fly across the screen so I'm assuming it's some type of snowy storm texture.
I've completely reinstalled the game four different times using different versions or changing up the install order of patches. I installed it once automatically with Galaxy and manually every other time. I've installed it to multiple different folders - C:\GOG Games, C:\Games, C:\POE and wherever it was placed by Galaxy.
I removed all the overclocks from both my CPU and GPU and tried again. Nothing changed.
I downgraded to the last nvidia driver I was using, as it was recently updated by GeForce experience. Nothing changed.
I ran the game as an administrator. Nothing changed.
I even tried installing the game on an older PC and experienced the exact same issue.
I'm at my wits end here. Are there any real fixes? Everyone says verify your files on Steam but I'm not using the steam version.
I'm considering just getting a refund from GOG and giving up on ever playing through the expansion. I already beat the original game twice. I only wanted to play through the expansion for the story, which I can just look up online.
I'm about to try a pirated Steam version and if it works I'm just going to avoid GOG in the future.
