May 1, 20169 yr Holy Water doesn't defeat Shadows. It should. It has the magic trait. The Magic trait has nothing to do with the situation. The Holy water expressly defeats an Undead whose highest difficulty to defeat is 10 or lower; the Shadow is 13. You should be able to use Holy Water to evade it though. You can use the 'Mark Solved' button beneath a post that answers your topic or confirms it's not a bug. The time that devs don't have to spend on the forum is a time they can spend on fixing the game.
May 1, 20169 yr The requirement for the magic trait you are referring to is for a combat check. If you try to defeat it with a combat check, you need to use a card which gives the magic trait to the combat check. Using the holy water isn't a combat check and as Longshot pointed out, the shadow is too strong to be defeated by holy water.
