What iPad are you running?

 

In the settings menu on the main menu are both sound bars all the way up? (The gold diamond is all the way to the right?)

Both in-game sound sliders fully to the right, although I've tried several positions with no effect.

Thanks for the additional info we're looking into it.

 

On a longshot can you try plugging in earbuds and seeing if you get sound, or if you have earbugs plugged in can you take them out?

Works with headphones, but not over the speaker. Trying device reboot.

That is super bizarre, we'll look into that.

Such an oddly specific problem makes me think it's my device instead of the app, only this is the only app that behaves this way.

Turn off mute in Control Center and restart Pathfinder.

Sorry to bring this old thread up but I am having the exact same issue iPad Air 2 on 9.3.1 no sound in game but sound while using headphones.

 

Other apps play sounds perfectly well without issue.

Really strange. I have Also iPad air 2 and newer have had sound problems. Other problems yes, but sound have worked all the time... Really strange...

Updated to IOS 9.3.2 right after posting this and still having the same issue. Will try a reinstall of the app later tonight but i don't expect much, i'll stick with headphones for now.
