To the esteemed Obsidian folks: how many times?

Now that the cat's out of the bag and we can all openly acknowledge KOTOR II, I'd be curious to see.

I'd very heavily wager that anyone involved in the design has played the original at least once in order to get a feel for the characters and the storyline....though probably nowhere near as often as some of the more fanatical fans.

I made this half-pony half-monkey monster to please you

But I get the feeling that you don't like it

What's with all the screaming?

You like monkeys, you like ponies

Maybe you don't like monsters so much

Maybe I used too many monkeys

Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you?

What is this game you speak of? ;)

Before even working on the title I had played the game through twice (LS and DS, of course). I've done it a few more since. I love KotOR1, it just doesn't get old.

Technically, I played it once. I was a typically prissy LS jedi (zero dark side points).

However, since I used Mission and stealthed through the opening of the Leviathen, I hit the nasty bug that causes the game to reach an unplayable state. The only save I had that was 'safe' was from the first planet I'd gone to...so I played Manaan, Tatooine and Kashyk twice =) And I remembered to unstealth Mission before freeing the rest of the party on the Lev.

I've played it through twice (LS & DS), and have gone back through saved games and played certain areas to catch some things I knew I missed previously.

I remember reading an interview with the writers of the novelization of Planescape: Torment. When asked if they had played the game, one of them said something to the effect of 'We don't have time to play video games!'

Needless to say, or so I've heard, the novelization had nothing to do with the game and was a complete atrocity.

Translation: I'm very glad to see the designers of KOTOR II have played KOTOR at least once. Danke.

Yeah...gonna have to disagree with you on that one.

"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."
