[v3.99/929 PX1-Steam] Inconsistent Learn Spell Icons

Featured Replies

In previous versions (as I remember) when you opened a grimoire in a wizard's inventory you always got a learn spell icon on spells they did not know.

In the current beta you only get that icon if the wizard character is currently selected.

However if you right click on an unknown spell you do get a Learn Spell button at the bottom of the description.

After some more experimentation it seems that the icons don't show up the first time you open a grimoire put do on subsequent attempts.

Hey HawkSoft,

I checked in our latest build and it seems to be working correctly. If the grimoire is not in Aloth's or a wizard's inventory space, they will not be able to see if there is a spell that can be learned or not. The grimoire has to be in the wizard's inventory section.

I hope that clears up the issue with you.

Hi Aarik,

As a reminder to myself I keep all found grimoires in Aloth's inventory until he has learnt all the spells from them, after that they go in the stash.

First opening, no icons:

Second opening, icons:

Hey HawkSoft,

Thanks for updating me on the issue. I think manage how to reproduce the issue. It happen when opening up a new grimoire for the first time. I have put in a bug and added it to our database.

Thanks again!

Hi Aarik, I know it is not limited to happening once per grimoire, without doing lots of tests I'd suggest it's once per grimoire per load.
