January 10, 201610 yr I noticed that often when I order a party member to cast a spell from a scroll during a big fight, said party member more often than not starts casting but stops before the casting is finished. Not only that, but the combat log says that the party member used the ability yet the scroll is unused and the spell is uncast. Scrolls of paralysis seem to be the exception, interestingly enough. January 10, 201610 yr So far as I remember, using a scroll is an interruptable action. Have you ruled out interruption? Scrolls work fine for me.

That would make sense if it was one of my frontliners, but when I try to cast a fireball with my priest she just raises the scroll then stops casting.
January 10, 201610 yr Archers and spell casters don't limit their attacks to your frontliners. AoE spells and spell-like abilities will also interrupt characters with low concentration. I do not know whether a character, interrupted in the middle of using an item (such as a scroll, a potion, or a figurine), will resume that action on their next "round".

No one interrupted the caster.
January 11, 201610 yr In that case, Aarik is going to ask you for save file and an output log. More info here if you need help getting those.
