The game is not saving at all, no autosaves, no quicksaves, no manual saves. I've tried to find the save's location and have found nothing. I have tried reinstalling the game and there was no change. Please help, I really want to play this game for more than an hour and not have to play as if I'm on permadeath mode where if I die I have to start from the beginning.

Save games for Pillars are located at: C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Saved Games\Pillars of Eternity.

 

Are you playing on Steam? If so please turn off Steam Cloud Sync and report back.

okay, so i found the folder, it asks for my admin privileges to access, which is weird since all my other games don't have this issue. I'll try playing the game in admin mode to see if it fixes the issue

Hi Derek, I've had that issue happened in the past. Does this mean PoE doesn't work with Steam Cloud? I do own multiple computers and require Steam Cloud from time to time. Please confirm.

Steam cloud works perfectly fine as long as you are playing on the same platform. Cross-Platform saves with PC and Macs are currently not working. We have a bug in our system but could be a possibility with Steam. Users have reported that cross-platform saves with Borderlands 2 and Bioshock are not not working with Steam Cloud as well.
