When I go downstairs past the ground level of the Sanitarium the whole level is covered in a fog from the chest down. I can see doors and my character and npcs and that's about it.

I can probably figure it out and carry on with the game but it's ruining my immersion. I've tried reloading the save and the whole game both to no avail.

:(

Thanks for any help

Does anyone know a solution? It's really putting me off playing. I dont want to have to look at a walkthrough just to see how to get around.

Did you by any chance get your game from GOG? And do you have all the available patches? I remember reading about an issue similar to this if you didn't download both patches/updates when The White March came out.

This sounds like something corrupted the animation or texture files via an update. Similar to the gog manual patch. Most people say galaxy works better for them if you are using GOG.

If you are on steam, I suggest having steam verify the integrity of files.

I have similar issue when I installed white march:

starting white march:

going to craghold:

GOG version, have installed patch 2.01 (latest)

no idea what to do now.

For Obsidian:

adding save game:

to reproduce the issue just go to the craghold or white march.

Hello everyone,

I apologize for the inconvenience. Please make sure that your graphics card has the latest drivers installed.

If you are playing in steam, please verify your game cache. In your steam library, right-click Pillars of Eternity > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Cache.

If you downloaded the game from GoG, please make sure you download and install both of the patches. There is a patch for the base game and one for The White March.

If you are using GoG Galaxy Client, please verify/repair your game.

Thank you for your support.

Thank you, it works.

I had patch 2.01 white march only. I had no patch for 2.01 for the base game.

I didnt realize that base game has to be upgraded as well.
