The spell probably got updated in some patch, but not the description. Seems I'm doomed to kill my entire own party due to description issues (see also; Drake)

Hello Hassat,

 

This is a known issue and are working on clearing up the confusion. But if you right-click the spell and the get full description, it will tell you that its a full AOE spell under Effects.
