Editing Notes in Journal

Is there any way to edit notes in the journal other than the backspace?

 

I make a note about leftover camp gear I couldn't carry (listing different places in the same note) but when I go back to pick it up there's no way to remove just the one (without backspacing everything noted after that and rewriting it).

 

I suppose I could make a different note for each place but that seems a bit excessive.

I've never used the notes feature, myself. Sorry. :/
