Can anyone explain why, after i killed the reincarnated demon raedric i lost major reputation with gilded vale?

I think this needs to be explained better before or during the quest.

I believe it may be a bug, possibly one they will fix in Patch 1.05. But I agree, that should not happen. I at least would be grateful to the group of cutthroats who killed my demonic vampire overlord before he could murder me and my family. 

 

But that's just me.
