[1.05 beta] Character Info Screen Broken

Featured Replies

After downloading the new beta patch on Steam, I resumed my game, which was just before recruiting the bard (Kana?). After recruiting him, the Character sheet screen got really messed up (here's a screenshot). It was fine before recruiting him, so something in the recruiting process is buggy...maybe related to the new ability to respec new party members?

Also, when portions of the screen get refreshed, i.e. by switching party members, then the data starts getting filled in like normal...but only some of it (the parts that change). Seems like whatever functions are updating the display work fine, and only the initial display is bugged.

However, some parts of the screen never get updated, such as the attack/defense panel in the lower right, so this panel is permanently broken. The character portraits are also always broken no matter what, and the little gold circle that shows which party member you are currently viewing never moves.

I've run into this as well. I recruited two new companions since installing the patch. If I add either of them to my party, my character sheet is broken as described above. If I remove them from the party, it returns to normal.

This bug can be seen here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yS7YNk-aF0

I assume this doesn't happen in a fresh 1.05 game, and there are no issues when you recruit all the companions before applying the patch.

IT IS a game breaking bug that will affect all players loading a 1.04 save without recruiting the remaining companions

Hi guys, I could use some more information on this issue as I am unable to reproduce it on my end.

- What OS are you on?

- Did you recruit a companion straight into your party or did you have to dismiss a member to make room for them?

- Is this only certain companions or everyone?

- Is this only occuring on saves before 1.05?

- Can you upload a clean save from before the patch to an external site such as Dropbox for me? And a save after it happens. (Please label the saves differently)

Thanks for all your feedback.

- Refer to this thread if you are having trouble finding any information I requested http://forums.obsidi...eport-an-issue/

Update: It seems this issue is stemming from save game conversions and will be fixed in the next patch.

Just in case you still want this info...

- I'm on Windows 7.

- I did not dismiss another party member.

- I've only tried it with Kana, since that where I'm at in the game.

- The save I encountered it on was from an earlier version (1.04? Whichever is the official non-beta version on Steam).

- Where do I find the save files on my computer, if you still need them?

Thanks for the response! Hope to see this fixed soon.
