Pipe smoking animations, but where is my pipe?

I see pipe smoking NPC's everywhere, I want my character to get in on some of that action.

 

All this Riverweed and no pipe to smoke it. *sigh*

 

If you smoke it before resting at the inn, then you get some kind of well rested bonus for the next day.
