Ever since I dismissed him from the party at one time (which, incidentally, made me lose his entire inventory due to a bug), Kana has stopped chanting automatically when combat starts. I've tried deleting all his chants and creating new ones, but they always deselect when a battle begins.

 

I'm getting tired of this game.

It's possible the developers already know of this bug.

But if they don't, they will need a savegame.

In case this happens to anyone else, what fixed it for me was resting, restarting game, then resting again.
