superluccix Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 Sorry for the stupid topic but, my knowledge of computers and images is 0, and I was trying to post a comment on some thread, but needed to post an image from a game I screencapped, but I cant post it because its above mb. Is there a way to make it smaller or something so it doesnt go above 1mb?
Lychnidos Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 First change the image format to .jpg, if it isn't already, open it in Paint -> Save as JPEG. If, the image is still larger than 1 MB resize it, again open it in Paint -> Resize and enter some value like 75% or 50%. Alternatively, you can just upload the image on imgur.com, and link it from there. 1
Psychevore Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 Yeah just upload it to some website. I have a premium account on imageshack, unlimited upload space for a year for a measly 13 dollars or something.
mkreku Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 You can also use an image viewer, like Irfanview and resize it yourself. Ctrl + R resizes it (if it's too large pixel wise) Ctrl + S saves it, and here you get to choose the compression factor. Something like jpg at 90% usually removes 800 KB or so from a 1 MB pic without any visible reduction in image quality. Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!
