Sorry for the stupid topic but, my knowledge of computers and images is 0, and I was trying to post a comment on some thread, but needed to post an image from a game I screencapped, but I cant post it because its above mb. Is there a way to make it smaller or something so it doesnt go above 1mb?

First change the image format to .jpg, if it isn't already, open it in Paint -> Save as JPEG. If, the image is still larger than 1 MB resize it, again open it in Paint -> Resize and enter some value like 75% or 50%. Alternatively, you can just upload the image on imgur.com, and link it from there.

Yeah just upload it to some website.

I have a premium account on imageshack, unlimited upload space for a year for a measly 13 dollars or something.

You can also use an image viewer, like Irfanview and resize it yourself.

Ctrl + R resizes it (if it's too large pixel wise)

Ctrl + S saves it, and here you get to choose the compression factor. Something like jpg at 90% usually removes 800 KB or so from a 1 MB pic without any visible reduction in image quality.
