This may be a stupid question, but I just have to make sure.............does two handed weapon style talent bonuses apply to two handed ranged weapons as well, like bows or crossbows etc.... or is it just the melee weapons?

It quite specifically says melee only.

Yup, it's melee only. Marksman is supposed to be the equivalent for ranged weapons.
