The Topic title is my question. in my current game she walked away after i met her

Do quests for the Valian Trading Company and then you shall unlock her. 

 

You may also need to talk to her just outside Valian Trading Company doors (but that will be possible only when you finish Valian Trading Company quests).

The first time you meet her she walks away, thats normal. She will reappear once the issue with the trading company is solved (one way or another) and THEN you will have the option to recruit her.
