I really enjoy the movement/command barks, but I find that there's too much voice acting in the dialogues. I prefer to read them at my own pace and with my own voices (a la Planescape: Torment). Also not too keen on some of the voice acting. Any way I could turn the dialogue voice work off while leaving the barks? Anyone made a mod to do something like this?

You could try deleting the sound files corresponding to dialogue first see if that works. If it doesn't then you'll have to go and manually edit all those sound files to remove the audio, but that would take a lot more time and most people are working to add new voice sets not remove them.

If you're up for the task you can use a free program called Audacity to do it. You can find all the sound files (as far as I'm aware) in the following directory:

C:\Games\Steam\SteamApps\common\Pillars of Eternity\PillarsOfEternity_Data\data\audio\vocalization\vo wav files

The players barks are under:

C:\Games\Steam\SteamApps\common\Pillars of Eternity\PillarsOfEternity_Data\data\audio\vocalization\vo wav files\player

Not sure about other barks but that should be enough to get you started.
