When a ranger companion lands the killing blow on enemies, no experience is awarded for the party.

Monster kills don't give experience, though.

 

Are you saying that animal companion kills fill out the bestiary?

Monster kills do award experience up to a point. Say the first time you encounter an ooze you get 100xp and beastiary will be partially filled about Oozes. Once you have killed the amount of Oozes needed to fill the beastiary completely they will never give you XP just for killing them. It's usually after like 5 or something.
