I agree 100%. I was under the impression that this was conceived  to be a PC game. If there is a console version in the works, where most users don't have access to a physical keyboard, the feature should be trivial to remove.

 

Naming saves is not only a nostalgic feature but has actual utility to the player, especially in a game of this scale.

I agree, this a quality of Life feature that should definitely be implemented when the worst bugs have been stamped out. At the very latest it should be introduced once the expansion arrives.
