I'm trying to find what increases your chance of finding hidden treasures.  Would it be perception or mechanics?

I believe it's mechanics.

It make sense that it would be mechanics, from a game mechanics point of view. But boy it sure would be nice if the games tooltips/descriptions just straight up told you what you needed for it.
