Do foes drop random loot?  I recall going through the intro camp and, one time, getting more bows than another time.

The weapons and armour enemies drop are the ones they are using, I don't know about other items. The case you are describing can be due to different difficulty levels, which change the number of enemies or their type.

Sometimes things are selected from a list of items, but nothing is ever randomly generated. That's what I understand, anyway.
