OK, we know:

Weapon Focus Groups:

Adventurer - Pollaxe, Estoc, Flail, Wand, War Bow.
Knight - Battle Axe, Sword, Morning Star, Crossbow
Noble - Dagger, Rapier, Mace, Sceptre, Rod
Peasant - Hatchet, Spear, Quarterstaff, Hunting Bow, Unarmed
Ruffian - Sabre, Stiletto, Club, Pistol, Blunderbuss
Soldier - Great Sword, Pike, War Hammer, Arbalest, Arquebus

Can anyone shed any light on the actual speed/damage/whatever of individual weapon types?

((Of course this is subbject to change in the final release the 26th, but probably won't change much))

The stats on the weapons , individually are available in the beta, just by viewing details.

Though , I wonder what a weapons speed translates to. There are some that are slow and some are fast. But, no in depth explanation exists that I have seen.

(there might be, but I haven't seen it, link it if it does, if you seen it/know it)

Now we know what's going on...

as far as I can tell the game has 3 groups

small-medium-large weapons

im not sure. But I think each group has an attack speed, that applies to all weapons in that category
