Yea I basically accepted most people are ok with a pretty good fantasy RPG that may or may not feel anything like BG or Icewind Dale (Though they parade those games on the games homepage) and would rather talk about silly fantasy names... lets face it, most of us have already pre ordered POE.
March 20, 201510 yr All threads go through a transformation, Ace. There's really no way to prevent it, but sometimes things go off on tangents and come back. The reality is, there's nothing to talk about on the issue anyway. I'm not saying that dismissively. The option to use DnD lore simply didn't exist from the very beginning. They were always going to create a new intellectual properties unless they used... maybe Alpha Protocol? That would not have been the way to pitch a game to IE fans, though. :Cant's wry grin icon: I'm not telling you that creating the topic was bad, but if we were going to confine ourselves to pertinent topics, this whole thread would have been closed. ...But it does discuss PoE and a lot of folks seemed to enjoy the debate. I had a good time and a couple of the members surprised me with their erudition or eloquence. So, why not let the discussion range? It will eventually run out of steam and someone will replace it with something else. If it's a second Romance thread, it will be closed or merged. lol Keep up the good fight, though!
