I just noticed this - some cool, but not necessarily minimalist UI corner elements are blotted out by the portraits and the combat log. When you lad a game, you get a brief nanosec to see them, at which I managed to snap this shot of the left one of them still "uncovered":
Great skellie. It seems sad that nobody will get to see it.
Then a sec later, it looks like this:
