Question about Backer Beta and possible Tier upgrade

Not really sure where to put this but I hope this is the right place. Anyway, since I am in the Backer Beta aswell I would of course like to start with it ASAP. However at the moment I am waiting on an answer on a support ticket regarding a possible Tier upgrade (I wanna go from the CE up the the singned CE). Now both of them of course do have BB access. So here is my question. Would I have to wait till the support gives me an answer or can I generate the key for the BB right now even and just keep on using the key even so I most likely gonna be without the right for the BB several minutes when I can get my upgrade (because from all I read the olny way to do so is to ask the support to cancel your current order)?
