Hi. Can anyone possibly help? Would be v grateful.

 

Steam won't launch. I get the little window saying it will... then it doesn't.

 

Have tinkered with antivirus, have played with UAC (am on Win 7) and have deleted stuff using Regent command.

 

It still doesn't launch, and the online solutions I've tried haven't worked either.

Uninstall and reinstall the Steam client?

Fixed it, looked like it was the UAC in the registry...

Configure browser push notifications
Chrome (Android)
  1. Tap the lock icon next to the address bar.
  2. Tap Permissions → Notifications.
  3. Adjust your preference.
Chrome (Desktop)
  1. Click the padlock icon in the address bar.
  2. Select Site settings.
  3. Find Notifications and adjust your preference.
