Memory Space Issue on Disc

Hello everyone. I have been trying to add a mod for use in my current file, but all the space on game is taken up. I've tried deleting some files to make space, but it won't allow me to instead it says something about inserting a disc that can burn files onto which it never said before. So any ideas what I should do?

You are installing it properly to the harddrive right. Rather than trying to stick a mod onto your playdisk?
