Kotor 2 New Reissue version bundled with Kotor 1

Featured Replies

Has anyone gotten the new version of Kotor II to work properly with Kotor Mod Tool and KSE Save Game Editor? The programs complain about not being able to detect it in the registry. KSE only works for Kotor 2 by manually selecting the game path each time but its annoying. It doesn't automatically detect the installation. Kotor Tool doesn't detect Kotor 2 at all. Need help with this please.

Are you installing it on the same O/S as before, when those tools worked? If it's Win7, have you tried installing the game in a different directory than the default Program Files one?

I'd make the assumption that the Tools are expecting files to be in a certain directory with specific names and may not ever auto-detect if the game files are not in that location/name, and without the creators of the tools updating them, this will always be the case and will require fudging things yourself. Don't know of a specific answer at the moment, tho.

Still gaming with my 9900k/2080ti/32 ram. One day I suppose a game may inspire me to finally upgrade. Maybe.

I have installed it on Windows 7 64bit os. I tried installing it on my second hard drive and it didn't matter.

It's likely looking for a 'Program Files' link while, because you're on an x64 system, the game is likely in 'Program Files (x86)'.
