Ken LeSaint - 3D Artist

With this we're at 120 again according to Linkedin (Which for obvious reasons is not a too accurate number) That means around ~30 hires since the big layoffs in march 2012 and a sign off good health. Congratulations!

  • 2 weeks later...

I'd like to be an intern in Obsidian, too :(

It's getting way too MMOish for my tastes.

It's getting way too MMOish for my tastes.

?

There's been 2 people that were most likely hired for a MMO project Obsidian just assists on.

With one of them being Ex-Black Isle and the other a Network engineer who worked on some of the most profilic MMO's. As a network engineer that is FAR from a bad thing.

How's that too mmo-ish?

Well, I don't know, usually when I see "MMO", things start turning ugly. I'm a bit sceptical about expensive and risky projects like that :/ . "MMO panic"

I'm a bit sceptical about expensive and risky projects like that :/ . "MMO panic"

how can this be of any risk for obsidian? they're hired to help out to bring this to life and to let their name speak for the game, mostly to get more western world's folks playing it.

Uh... I never said that it would be any risk for Obsidian itself >.> . And even then, I was exaggerating in both post, I thought that was clear enough. I'm not stupid enough (even though most people like to think so) to judge anything by rumors or hires, especially when it comes to a company that has a record of a large number of canceled / suspended projects. So there

I don't remember if that was covered, but Tools Programmer Brendan Booth left back in June and is now working at Blizzard.

Edit: And someone else has joined, though I can't seem to find his profile.

Both those positions are linked in the kickstarter update that went out yesterday, and according to that they're both for PE.

Yeah, they adjusted that. Just compare what I quoted and what the description is now.
