I just got the latest issue of Game Informer and the feature article is about Obsidian's new South Park RPG. I can't even stand to read it though.

It's not because I hate South Park. It's not because I hate Obsidian.

Why then, will I not read it and see what this game is going to offer?

Because I don't have a PS3 nor an Xbox 360. I am a PC gamer. I only own a PC for my gaming. So when I saw the little corner box that lists what systems and an estimated release date showed no PC version would be made, I died inside. I couldn't go on. I don't want to read how awesome it's going to be and never get to play it.

So what's up? It's gonna be on 360 but not PC? Aren't Windows and the Xbox 360 almost exactly the same when it comes to development? Where's the love, Obsidian? As Cartman would say, "Seriously. The ****?"

It's going to be on PC, that was a mistake.

Oh joyous day! In that case, I shall go write to GI's corrections department.

No, they aren't.

They made the same mistake in their initial article but later corrected so I'm not surprised.. probably some initial miscommunication between them and Obsidian/THQ.

It's difficult to tell console gamers apart since they're all rolling around in the same mud. The pc terrifies and frightens with its small letters and dizzying complexity of keys. It's understandable why they fail to mention it sometimes.

It's fear, baby! :)

Notice how I can belittle your beliefs without calling you names. It's a useful skill to have particularly where you aren't allowed to call people names. It's a mistake to get too drawn in/worked up. I mean it's not life or death, it's just two guys posting their thoughts on a message board. If it were personal or face to face all the usual restraints would be in place, and we would never have reached this place in the first place. Try to remember that.

No, they aren't.

They both (can) use DirectX APIs and the programming itself, AFAIK, doesn't require any special language for either system.

So besides making it function on a (very) specific set of hardware, what difference is there?

NEWSFLASH: Having similarities does not mean exactly the same.

PRO TIP: Osama Bin Laden and President Obama ar eboth humans when simialr sounding first names but contrary to a certain sect of people theya re NOT the same person.

tarna's dead; processing... complete. Disappointed by Universe. RIP Hades/Sand/etc. Here's hoping your next alt has a harp.

PC = Descent to Undermountain + POR2 + ES series

PC gamers should not be the ones accusing others of 'playing in the mud' since PC gaming is all about that, Glass houses and all that stuff.
