I still didn't get empowered blade dash because I stopped using blade dash after I got wind shear.

 

Do you have to keep pressing the key for it continue or is it one key press and you dash until your focus is empty?

Just the one button press, don't have to hold the key down. With empowered Blade Dash Lucas will pinball around until he takes out all the enemies or runs out of focus.

 

It's a fun move but it may end with mp buddies raging that they can't see **** when you do that. Good times

Although note that Lucas will still be 'blocked' by big enemies like cyclopses and dakkenweyrs. Those things won't let him pass, but they will also be hit multiple times.

Wow, Blade Dash is completely useless in the second half of the game as is the empowered form, no wonder I chose wind shear the first time.
