Hildegarde, I was alive and well back in the tiem of the Balkand period you describe. I don't know of any public or othyerwise commitment to Serbia/greater Serbia.

 

I'd be grateful if you'd post some sort of evidence because prima facie I'd have suggested that we'd have been generically anti Serbian due to the historic Russian links. Assuming we had chosen aside at all, which to my mind rather overstates the competence of the then Foreign Office.
