Dinner Posted September 25, 2010 Author Posted September 25, 2010 So I try downloading the UK version 1st but it said the same thing after 33%
Karl the Unfettered Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 Perhaps you have incomplete versions of the patch somewhere, or some other file with the same name as the patch you're downloading. Look for them and clear these out, if you can, and try downloading it anew once again.
Karl the Unfettered Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 You'd have to manually search the directories that contain the KotOR2 files, as well as any other LucasArts folders you might have. You could also try an automated search, but in my experience those aren't worth it. This is all speculation anyway; my idea might not even work, I've never had any problems running the game. But good luck with whatever you try.
Hassat Hunter Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 You install KotOR2 Patch v201420 UK.exe then sw_pc_uk_from201420_to211427.exe, right? At which of the 2 it does this? ^ I agree that that is such a stupid idiotic pathetic garbage hateful retarded scumbag evil satanic nazi like term ever created. At least top 5. Dinner Posted September 25, 2010 Author Posted September 25, 2010 the 201420.exe file. It gets to 33% then says the message of old file not found
Hassat Hunter Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 You deleted all leftover files before re-installing, right? Aside from that, don't really know. It could be it already replaced a few files when you used the american 1.0b patch and that gives issues now? What version does your launcher report you have? ^ I agree that that is such a stupid idiotic pathetic garbage hateful retarded scumbag evil satanic nazi like term ever created. At least top 5. Dinner Posted September 26, 2010 Author Posted September 26, 2010 Oh I don't think I deleted all the files. Where would I find those files?
Hassat Hunter Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Your install location (default: C:\PROGRAM FILES\LUCASARTS\SWKOTOR2). ^ I agree that that is such a stupid idiotic pathetic garbage hateful retarded scumbag evil satanic nazi like term ever created. Dinner Posted September 26, 2010 Author Posted September 26, 2010 Is it one of the .dll files? I got a patchw32.dll as well as mss32.dll and binkw32.dll. Are these any of the files or which file am I looking for?
Gunners_rule Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Do this: Uninstall the game and when it asks you if you would like to keep the saves and the configuration files, choose NO. Now after you uninstall it, install it again. If this doesn't help, try installing in another drive or in another folder.

Dinner Posted September 30, 2010 Author Posted September 30, 2010 Thanks! Patch finally installed!!!! Also, I think part of the original problem was because I kept my old override folder after I uninstalled my game. Thank you so much!
