You know, I've always loved Obsidian for having those lengthy conversations like the one with Atris in KOTOR2, the Trial in NWN2, Myrkul in MotB... And now, meeting Conrad Marburg in Alpha Protocol. That was just freakin' awesome. Razor sharp writing.

Glad to hear that! I bought the game mostly because of Obsidian's knack for great, even epic, conversations. MotB is still fresh in my mind, and speaking with Myrkul was simply breathtaking in that game.

And who doesn't remember meeting Ravel or The Practical Incarnation for the first time in PS:T?

Yeah. Though it deserves to be said that this game doesn't feature philosophical discussions and "flowery" writing. It's much more about hard-boiled action dialogue. I found the writing to be really good throughout, and occasionally it soars to amazing and the writing and acting just comes together in a wonderful way.

In one particular encounter, the action was stopped for a quick breather and convo with the adversary, and upon my direction Mike just started *unloading*, pissing the other guy off (some of which has to do was that I had some good dossier information on the character), just verbally owning him. It was such a glorious" moment.

I agree. This game is pretty much gold in terms of story and characters. The dialogue system is completely awesome and allows for a lot of choice. I'm glad Avellone's expertise shows through here.
